Why me

At SEEK, I led the redesign of the home feed — lifting apply starts by 22%, job views by 23%, and redistributing attention from the top 3 cards (70% → 25%) across the full feed. I shaped the company's first GenAI-powered feature, now a top FY26 OKR used across teams.

This didn't happen accidentally. I've been doing this for nearly 20 years. I've worked across banks, insurers, marketplaces, media, and start-ups. I've led redesigns of banking apps serving millions of customers, where a single misstep in financial flows could cost millions in compliance risk or churn. I've run discovery cycles where the brief didn't exist yet, and we had to find the true problem. I've shipped products where motion, clarity, and pace changed how people used the system and where every design decision had to prove its value through behaviour change, not taste.

I use a simple approach: diagnose with data, treat with design. Data shows where people get stuck, confused, or drop off. Design fixes it. I don't chase trends. I use experience, signals, and craft to ship something that works.

What I care about

Outcomes, not outputs — I focus on what changes for the user and what changes for the business. If the metric doesn't shift, the work isn't done. Most value comes from fewer steps, cleaner choices, better timing. Some friction has value, it can guide attention, but only when used with intent.

Good craft improves speed, clarity, and trust. It's not decoration. I don't polish until we know the solution is right. My best work is the kind people barely notice because it just works.

How I work

I run fast loops: test early, share often, adjust based on what we see. I use real signals to find the right problem, then design to fix it. I prioritise solving the problem over preserving comfort. I bring people with me, but I don't let process replace progress. I've worked on systems where the complexity behind the screen is massive. My job is to make the experience feel steady and easy.

What I'm looking for

I am keen to join a pre-PMF company where design can have real impact. Where we're still figuring out what the product should be, and where the right insight or decision can change the trajectory. I would like to work with founders who value design as a strategic tool, not a polish layer.

I thrive in environments where the stakes are high, the problems are unclear, and the work has to prove itself through real behaviour change. I want to build products that genuinely help people, that make decisions easier, reduce stress, and cut through clutter.
